What is iLink?
A Bluetooth enabled module that can be attached to most braces or orthotics to detect if it is being worn. Using the free iLink smartphone app the module synchronizes once per day at a preset time to the smartphone to collect all the data from iLink and once per day the app uploads all data to the cloud.
iLink also has sensors to detect orientation of the brace, for instance horizontal versus vertical and it detects movement. The iLink module has its own non-volatile memory for storage of months of data so if synchronizing is missed, the data can still be downloaded at an office visit.
Data can be accessed in the cloud via a secure website portal with a login and password allowing caregivers to monitor and give feedback on a nearly real time basis. Better compliance = better outcomes!
